This is my favorite picture from our trip. If only I wouldn't have been so zoomed in, maybe

I would have gotten his head. I still really love the picture even if he is headless:)

My attempts at panning. I think for me there is no skill yet...just luck. It either works or it doesn't.

I love the compostion of this picture. Here is the Mallard looking at me with that "are you looking at me" look. And then in the blurred background you can see his family. The mother and a chick.

These are amazing simply because, how often do you get the chance to take a resting hummingbird's picture. I totally messed up the aperture though because I didn't take a minute to think. I shot with an aperture of 2.8 and didn't get the focus I wanted. Next time I WILL remember.
